Tax Manager
Job Summary:

We are seeking a Manager with international tax experience to join our growing International Tax practice. In this role, you will work with experienced partners and teams in the United States and globally on complex international tax matters to add value for clients while being a trusted advisor. Job Duties:

Develop and deliver high-quality, timely tax planning strategies that meet or exceed client expectations.

Build and review tax and financial models to assess the cash tax impact of proposed planning, including tax incentives and credits.

Identify and address cross-border tax issues and opportunities, coordinating with local country tax advisors to provide integrated global tax solutions.
-
Analyze the impact of key international tax provisions (e.g., Sections 965, 951A, 59A, 163(j)) on large-scale business operations and restructuring.
-
Evaluate intellectual property (IP) structures, transactional flows, debt arrangements, and tax returns to uncover international tax planning opportunities.

Conduct international tax due diligence and highlight post-transaction matters requiring attention.

Prepare and review technical memorandums and tax opinions on international tax matters.
-
Review and support international tax compliance processes and accounting for income taxes under ASC 740.

Oversee day-to-day management of client engagements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.

Supervise, mentor, and support the professional development of Associates and Senior Associates through coaching, feedback, and on-the-job training.

Manage team workload and deadlines with a focus on quality, efficiency, and client service excellence.

Lead client communications to clarify priorities, explain technical issues, and apply tax knowledge to client-specific scenarios.

Produce clear, concise, and comprehensive deliverables aligned with client objectives and critical success factors.

Effectively communicate work plans, timelines, and project goals to cross-functional teams.

Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment by encouraging diverse perspectives and open communication.

Cultivate client relationships and develop a deep understanding of their business, with the opportunity to assume greater responsibility over time.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation

CPA or Licensed Attorney (any state) required
-
5 years of International Tax or Transaction Tax experience required, preferably in professional services
-
Prior proven experience leading and managing work streams and mentoring junior staff
-
Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts, establish credibility and influence clients
-
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
-
Advanced user of all Microsoft Office products (with an emphasis on Excel)
-
Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines

High motivation to learn and grow

Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills

Job Duties:

Consult with small business clients on tax and accounting questions
